COMMUNITY PROGRAMS MANAGER
The Community Programs Manager is a full-time position reporting to the Education Director.
This position is responsible for administrating events and programs that bring the mission of
Fuller Craft Museum into the regional community as well as attracting target audiences to the Museum.
The Community Programs Manager reflects a positive image of Fuller Craft Museum and its mission to
the general public.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining artist residencies in local and regional schools and community centers
- Initiating and maintaining positive partnerships with artists, schools
and community officials
- Hiring and training artists and volunteers to work in schools
- Supervising and evaluating outreach programs
- Developing and implementing family day events serving 400-500 visitors
- Developing and implementing outreach presentations on craft and Museum exhibitions for community organizations and schools
COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
- Representing Fuller Craft Museum on community committees
- Researching outreach needs in regional communities and developing new programs as needed
- Serve as Fuller Craft Museum liaison for community projects and events
FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT
- Maintain records for contracted employees
- Maintain records of purchased supplies
- Prepare budgets
- Identify funding sources and work with Development to write grant narratives
PROMOTIONS AND ADVERTISING
- Develop press releases and related collateral for all outreach efforts
- Identify target audiences for promoting programs
COMMUNITY GALLERY
- Coordinate and assist community groups and artists selected to exhibit in the Community Gallery in mounting exhibitions
Other duties may be assigned as determined by the Director of Education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA required, MA preferred in art/museum education or related field.
- Experience in community arts programming
- Supervisory experience
- Familiarity with after-school programming, state curriculum standards and other current issues in education
- Competency in Microsoft Office
- Must be outgoing and comfortable with working with a diverse audience
- Must exhibit an ability to work as part of a team
- Must demonstrate excellent writing and communication skills
- Experience in the museum setting

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Reports To:
Executive Director, Deputy Director and Chief Development Officer
Salary: TBD
Hours: Full Time, Mon – Fri, 9am–5pm (some weekend
and evening work may be required)
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Overview: This position is responsible for assisting the Executive
Director, Deputy Director and the Chief Development Officer
Qualifications: Ability to work independently in
a fast-paced environment; high level of proficiency in computer
software (specifically all Microsoft Office programs
including Word, Excel and Power Point. Raiser’s Edge constituent software knowledge a plus.
Excellent writing and communications skills; organized; demonstrated tasking
follow-through; team-oriented. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not
required.
Key Responsibilities:
Administration
- Work on specific tasks / correspondence as requested by the Director
- Work closely with the Director, Deputy Director and the Chief Development
Officer on any cultivation events, grant opportunities and other constituent
issues / projects that arise
- Managing the operation and resourcing of the development and administrative offices to ensure fluent work flow, calendars
are adhered to, and information is forwarded to appropriate information
- Maintaining an administrative department calendar to ensure meetings are
scheduled and resourced as appropriate
- All back-office administrative and clerical functions.
Development Office
- Answer the phones and assign to corresponding development team members
- Assist with development office related operations such as monthly mailers,
Power Point presentations, press packet preparations, member packets, etc.
- Researching, compiling, and entering information on constituents as
requested and required
- Support with planning, organizing, implementing and managing of special events
generated through the Development Department.
- Act as liaison between the Board of Directors and Senior Management Team
- Collect and distribute all reports and materials for the Board meetings
- Attend all Board meetings and keep accurate recording of minutes
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills:

ART
ASPIRE ARTIST
Positions are available for the after-school outreach
program Art ASPIRE. Applicants must be professional, experienced
artists who are currently exhibiting their work in regional venues.
Positions are for 7-10 weeks in Brockton after-school programs between
the hours of 3-6pm. Artists will work with school-age children on
high-quality art activities that will be displayed at Fuller Craft

TRY IT OUT ARTISTS
Fuller Craft Museum seeks artists for its "Try it Out!"
Saturday workshop series. “Try It Out” is designed for adults and older
teens to experience working with a particular material or technique for
one afternoon without the larger financial or time commitment of a
class. “Try It Out” sessions can be for any level, although beginner and
intermediate classes are preferred.
Requirements for "Try it Out" Workshops:
• Try It Out workshops are held on Saturdays, 1-4pm
• Participants must be able to make and complete a small project within
the three hour time frame (or otherwise be able to complete it at home)
• Material fees per student cannot exceed $10/person
• Equipment/tool needs should be specified in the proposal
• Workshops must be craft or 3D based
Skills Required:
• Must be a professional artist with at least a BFA or equivalent
experience
• Must be outgoing, enjoy working with the public and be willing to
promote the mission of Fuller Craft Museum through the Try It Out
workshops

Unpaid Internships
Internships at Fuller
Craft Museum are exciting opportunities for upperclass college and
graduate
students looking to purse a career in museum. Interns are accepted on a
rolling basis as can be accommodated. Applicants should be college
upperclassmen or graduate students and be able to commit to 8-15 hours
per week. Those interested in interning are encouraged to apply early,
before the college semester begins. The following internships are
unpaid.

MARKETING / PUBLIC
RELATIONS INTERN
Fuller
Craft Museum seeks an intern to
assist the
Communications and Marketing Department with marketing Museum
exhibitions, events
and programs.
Duties include: writing press releases, preparing press packets,
updating online
listings of exhibitions and events, researching new forums for
publicity and
distribution,
and
providing
administrative
support
for the Marketing Manager.
College upperclassmen or graduate students majoring in Marketing or
Communications
are preferred. Candidate must by a self-motivated, detail-oriented
individual
with excellent writing and organizational skills. Experience with
Microsoft desktop
applications, including Word and Excel, is required.

closely with the Exhibitions Manager to provide support for a number of

Duties
will include online research, general administrative work including

with mailings, data entry, and possible work during the installation of
the
exhibitions.
College upperclassmen or graduate students are preferred. Candidate
must have excellent attention to detail, a good sense of humor, the
ability to work in a fast paced environment, and knowledge of Microsoft
Office, including Word and Excel. Applicants must be able to meet
deadlines, work autonomously, and be creative in developing exciting
materials. The candidate must be flexible and willing to work on a wide
variety of projects.

This internship is 5-10 hours per week.
