Planned Giving
A "planned gift" is simply defined as any
method of charitable contribution--other than a current gift of cash or
in-kind gift--which will provide long-term financial support to Fuller
Craft Museum. Planned gifts take many forms (such as wills, bequests,
charitable gift annuities, gifts of life insurance, charitable
remainder trusts, etc.) and can be as varied as each individual who has
decided to support the work of the Museum and every circumstance under
which they have come to that decision.
One thing is certain, your gift planning
with Fuller Craft Museum can provide both benefits to you and your
family as well as long-term positive impact on the growth of the
Museum. Please take a moment to review some of the options for planned
giving available to you or contact our office at 508.5888.6000 x120 to
set up a meeting to discuss your plans.

pages are informational only and are not intended as legal or financial
advice. For legal advice, please consult an attorney; for financial
advice, please consult your financial planner.

Bequests
Many of our supporters make charitable
gifts by bequests in their wills so that Fuller Craft
Museum will
continue to grow. The federal government encourages those gifts by
allowing an unlimited estate tax charitable deduction. To make a
bequest to Fuller
Craft Museum, the following language
will help your legal advisor:
"I
give, devise, and bequeath to Fuller Craft
Museum, 455 Oak Street, Brockton, Massachusetts
the sum of $xxxxx" (or otherwise describe the gift or specify a
percentage of the estate).
If you are
concerned about providing for family members, consider naming Fuller Craft
Museum as a contingent
beneficiary--to benefit only if there are no surviving close family
members. Childless couples sometimes provide for the entire estate to
go to the surviving spouse, but if the spouse doesn't survive, to the
Museum.

Appreciated
Securities
Donors who contribute appreciated securities or
real property held for more than one year (long-term) get a double
income tax benefit:
1.
A deduction for the asset's full fair market value instead of the
lower cost basis.
2.
As well as complete avoidance of capital gains tax on the asset's
appreciation.

Life Insurance and Retirement
Plans
Some of our supporters no longer need life insurance purchased years
ago to provide for children or other family
members.
If that is your situation, please consider donating the policy to Fuller Craft Museum.
You may claim a charitable deduction for approximately the policy's
cash surrender
value, and
the proceeds are completely removed from your estate.

Charitable
Gift Annuities
A Fuller
Craft Museum charitable gift annuity
pays you
guaranteed income for life at an attractive rate, offers tax savings,
and frees
you from investment worries and responsibilities. Through your annuity
you can
make a meaningful gift to support the Museum. Establishing a gift
annuity is
simple. If you are 55 or
older and
you make a gift of money or securities, Fuller Craft
Museum will
pay you an
income, in the form of an annuity for life.
Fuller
Craft Museum is a recognized 501(c)(3) organization.
